Obituary of Lydia Wilhelmina Eldien

Lydia Wilhelmina Eldien, 98 of Cloquet died Saturday, October 27, 2001 in Community Memorial Nursing Home. She was born January 22, 1903 in Cloquet to Frank and Wilhelmina (Klemola) Dahlquist. On June 30, 1925 she married Carl Ragnar Eldien. Lydia was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the KloKay BoKay Garden Club and had received a life membership in the Federated Garden Clubs of Minnesota. She and her husband, Ragnar planted and maintained the plants at the entrance to the Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital for many years. Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Ragnar and three brothers, Frank, Leo and Iver Dahlquist. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Skip) Gustafson of Cloquet; sons, Donald (Helen) of Minneapolis and Duane (Luella) of Esko; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation was from 1 until the 2:00 PM service Saturday, November 3, 2001 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Cloquet.
