Obituary of Charlyne Marie Langley

Charlyne Marie Langley, 69 of Esko passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born August 23, 1945 in Decorah, Iowa to Charles and Arlyne Seaton. She graduated from Decorah High School in 1963. In December of 1964 she was introduced to David Langley and the two have been inseparable ever since. They were united in marriage on May 18, 1966 in Richfield, Minnesota. In 1974 they moved to Esko. Charlyne was a member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church. While her children were in school she was an active participant in the Esko School Board, Music Boosters, and was instrumental in starting the EHS post grad party. She did day care in her home from 1978 until 1988. She enjoyed being a part of the Esko Community Theater, reading, crocheting, music, ice skating, and watching golf. Charlyne was a happy, encouraging person. She was a loyal friend and friendships with her lasted a lifetime. Charlyne was preceded in death by her sons, George and Charles; and father, Charles Seaton. She is survived by her husband, David; children, Brent (Desdemonia "Des") Langley of Roseville, Tevia (Rick) Schneider of Cotton, and Megan Langley of Esko; mother, Arlyne Seaton of Spring Valley, Minn.; sister, Gladys (Gary) Peterson of Spring Valley; and four grandchildren, Raina and Isabella Schneider, Arlyne Haney, and Samantha Langley. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 13, 2015 in the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, 2502 Big Lake Road, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.
