Obituary of Lillian Ethel Edens

Lillian Ethel Edens, 78 of Cloquet died Thursday, December 20, 2001 in Community Memorial Nursing Home in Cloquet. She was born September 5, 1923 in Rock Springs, Montana to James and Ida (Larson) Watts. She grew up in Rock Springs and at the age of 17, she moved to Cloquet where she worked at Diamond Match. She married John Anderson in 1949. After John's death in 1959, Lillian moved to California. There she met and married Gustav Edens in 1963. While in California, she worked as a housekeeper until retiring in 1986. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Berkley, California. She returned to Cloquet in August of this year. Lillian was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Harry, Louis, and Norman Watts. She is survived by her sister, Eileen (Ed) Janzig of Cloquet and other family members, Claudia Edens and Kathy Edens both of Burbank, California, Frances Watts of Washington and Lester Edens of Long Beach, California. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 23, 2001 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet with Jim Esala officiating. Music was provided by Vivian Paulson. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
