Obituary of Jack Donovan Marine

Jack Donovan Marine, 76, of Carlton, died Wednesday, November 21, 2001 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. He was born April 1, 1925 in St. Paul and was raised in Menomonie, WI. Jack joined the Navy in 1942 and served with the Sea Bees in the South Pacific until the end of the war. Jack was a Deacon of Bethel Lutheran Church in Scanlon, a member of the De Land Masonic Lodge #812 of De Land, IL, the American Legion Post #0102 of De Land, the VFW Post #9060 in Prescott, WI, and was a life member of the DAV. In 1996, he married Diane HagE in Cloquet. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlys on February 16, 1990 and two daughters, Julie and Lori on June 14, 1961. Jack is survived by his wife, Diane of Carlton; his children, Steve (Terry) Marine of New Richmond, WI, Mary (Pat) Sobota of Wilson, WI, John (Kelly) Marine of Menomonie and Joe (Lynn) Neisinger of Lady Smith, WI; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; Diane's three children, Darby (Marie) HagE of Sandstone, Daniel (Sandra) HagE of Tulsa, OK and Julie (Chris) Youngren of Rice, MN; 15 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. A memorial service was held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2001 in Bethel Lutheran Church, 1012 29th Street, Scanlon. Inurnment was in Menomonie, WI. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
