Cheryl, Mikey, and CC... I couldn't write this until now because I just didn't have the strength to say goodbye or to admit that my good! good! buddy was gone. I can't imagine how hard this is for you. From the first day I met Mark back in 1983, I knew he was going to be a life long friend. Little did I know just how much he would mean to me. We did a lot together but all can think about right now is how much we didn't do. A word of wisdom... Never pass up an opportunity to be with the ones we love. I'm so glad that when Marc asked me to tag along with him on a truck run to Nebraska, I canceled some plans and went with. That time was priceless and will ever be in my heart. We drove all the way to Nebraska and back and never stopped talking the whole time :-) I am serious... there was now one second of silence. And I loved every second of it. (WE did solve all the problems of the world ;-} He was a genuine good guy. I'll miss him every day. As I'm sure you his family will. Stay strong, and health. I love you all. As we've done hundreds of times before... I'll tip a Clamato and beer for you, my good buddy. "Steven" Harteau

Cheryl, Mike(Gomer) & CC,
I can't even put into words what Mark meant to me. He was a brother. So many memories that when I think back I laugh & cry at the same time. Hunt, four wheeling, times at the shack, tracking a wounded bear & all our trucking adventures.
I remember Mark changing oil on the truck. He had a big 20 gal can for the used oil. We turned around & theyre was Mikey sitting in the middle of it splashing around,Mark thought that was pretty funny but I don't think Cheryl did. Hugs to you guys
He won't be forgotten.
Love you Brother!

Mark was a wonderful man. I couldn't ask for a better brother-n-law than Mark. We had a lot of fun ATVing, snowmobiling, and especially when we went on a hunting trip in Michigan for a week. My family will miss Mark dearly. Our hearts and prayers go out to Cheryl, Mikey, CeCe, Ashley, Gabriel and Vincent.

Our Deepest Sympathy to Cheryl, and family
Mark was a very big asset to our Transportation company, his honesty, ambition, skills, dependability, and many other positive characteristics made Mark a pleasure to have him
working for our company, Mark could do anything any part of the job required, Mark was a true professional. Mark was well respected in our energy transportation industry. Drivers all mention him as a kind helpful person. Mark will surely be missed by all of us at All American Service for his excellent work. But more importantly he will be missed as a very good friend.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you,
Doyle, Ilona, and Josh Svedberg
All American Service

I was shocked and horrified to hear of Mark's passing! I will never forget the time he came and plowed me out when my driveway was rock solid ice and I couldn't have ever shovelled it! Such a great kind and friendly guy always. My love, prayers, and deepest sympathy to Cheryl, Mike, CeCe, and family!!

Mark was like a brother to me. Growing up he would come to the farm to make hay or just help out wherever we needed it. He was a jokester!!! Kevin and him always seemed to have something up their sleeve to do to me. We played "Raccoon Hunting" in the cornfield. This involved pillows from the couch and bb-guns. Do I need to say more. In the winter it was "Moose Hunting" . The snow banks replaced the cornfield, the pillows and bb-guns were still involved. As I remember it, I was ALWAYS the raccoon and the moose. I will truly miss all his stories. You could ask him, "Anything new in your life"? He would say "No", but continue to tell adventures for hours later.
God must have needed a GOOD MAN to have taken Mark so young. May he rest in peace.
