Obituary of Myrnaloy Flora Botz

Myrnaloy Flora Botz, 86, of Cloquet passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. Born February 23, 1935 in Leroy, North Dakota Mrs. Botz was the loving daughter of Lester Timothy Connor and Mae Maude LaTraille Connor. Mrs. Botz was raised in Crystal, North Dakota. She worked at Lincoln Elementary School in Duluth. She also worked as a home health aide, caring for the elderly, including her husband for the last four years in her home. She also cared for children in her own home day care. She enjoyed many things in life, reading, walking, yard work, gardening, canning jam, watching old westerns, bowling, singing in church choirs and she also sang in opera recitals. Her fondest memories were spending time with family, friends, camping and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert H. Botz; her children, Myrna Lee Rahja and husband Jim of Cloquet, Dorothy DeCoux and her husband Curt of Edina, Vincent Hooey of Kansas, Calvin Botz of Cloquet, Joseph Botz of W. Bloomington, Anna Botz-Kassa and husband Rick of Lakeville, and Jennifer Botz of St. Paul; brothers, Jerry Connor and his wife Betty, Myron Connor and wife Joanne, James Connor and his wife Jeanne; sisters, Jeanette Grad and her friend Chuck, Theresa Watkins and her husband John, and Sandra Barnes and her husband Ed. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Timothy Connor; her mother, Mae Maude LaTraille Connor; her son, Robert Hooey; sister, Beverly Bachler; and brothers, Bill and John Connor. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Good Hope Church, 55 Armory Road in Cloquet, Minnesota. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall.
