Obituary of Robert Ronald Juola

Robert Ronald Juola, 88 of Floodwood passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 in Villa Vista Care Center in Cromwell. He was born February 1, 1933 in Cedar Valley to Eino and Aili (Jarvi) Juola. At age seven, his family moved to Floodwood. Robert served in the Navy from 1951 until 1955. After his discharge, he returned to Floodwood and married Hazel Hjelt on May 3, 1955. They made their home in Floodwood and together raised three children. Bob worked for Concraft Builders in Hibbing from 1962 until the mid 1970's when he went to work for the City of Floodwood in the maintenance dept. He retired in 1982. Robert enjoyed hunting and going for long walks every day. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel and grandson, Jason Brekke. He is survived by two sons, Robert Jr. (Judy) Juola and Tim (Betty) Juola both of Hazen, AR; daughter, Vicki (Jay Hinnenkamp) Bachmann of Pequot Lakes; sister, Gloria (Ken) Ollila; brother, Jim (Jane) Juola; grandchildren, Michael (Misty) Juola, Kaley (Chad) Juola Johnston, Jon Brekke, Jami (Greg) Marttila Walls, and Kayla Brekke; great grandchildren, Kassidy Brekke, Dottie Bryant, Briley Breeding, Cole Witherington, Easton Johnston, and Hannah Johnston; and the Autio and Liubakka families who lovingly cared for Bob for many years. Visitation: 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in Cedar Valley Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Cemetery.
