Obituary of Ruby Aileen Munter
Ruby Aileen Munter, 83 of Cloquet formerly of Esko passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in New Perspectives Senior Living in Cloquet. She was born on October 2, 1938 in Cloquet, the daughter of Arthur and Ailie Swanson. Ruby grew up in the Sunnyside area of Cloquet and received her GED in 1973. Ruby married Jack Munter on January 1, 1955 in Carlton.
Ruby held her faith and family far above anything in her life and both brought her the greatest joy. She was a lifetime member of the Esko Apostolic Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, Librarian, served in the Ladies Groups and lead Bible studies. She was in the Just Friends Band, part of the jail ministry, Bells of Brownell and a member of the Lakehead Harvest Reunion and the Duluth Auto Racing Association. Ruby loved gardening, fishing and playing her bass. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; son, Randy Munter; daughter, Kathi “Sam” Munter; and sister, Carol Wendland.
Ruby will be deeply missed by her children, Kenneth (Diana) Munter and Wendy (Bruce) Bergstedt both of Esko; grandchildren, Josh Bergstedt, Amy (Shawn) Bloss, Ben (Libby) Bergstedt, Molly (Ryan) Rule, Erik Bergstedt, Michael Munter, Ciro Munter and Erika (Serdjhy) Leger; great grandchildren, Jack Bergstedt, Maiya Bloss, Barrett Bloss, Mikko Bergstedt, Maila Bergstedt, Mara Bergstedt and Baby Boy Rule; brother-in-law, Gary Wendland; nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Esko Apostolic Lutheran Church or Inter Lutheran Seminary.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Esko Apostolic Lutheran Church. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
