Kyle Johnson

Obituary of Kyle Roswell Johnson

Kyle Roswell Johnson, 33, of Culver died unexpectedly Sunday, February 20, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth due to a traumatic brain aneurysm.  He was born on January 20, 1989, the loving son of Robert “Bob” and Barbara Johnson.

Kyle attended and graduated from AlBrook School in 2007, participating in baseball and basketball.  He went on to attend FDL Community College while working at CharMars and the Clip Joint.  He then moved to Brainerd to attend Central Lakes Community College and worked at Poncho & Lefties.  Realizing college was not for him, he enlisted in the US Army Reserves in 2010.  He graduated from Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and completed AIT Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

From 2014 to the present he found his true passion in life with Missinne Greenhouse and Landscape Center in South Range, WI being Mary Missinne’s right hand man and Landscape Crew Foreman, taking pride in every job done, no matter how big or small.

Kyle loved the outdoors, agate picking and fishing but especially hunting and spending time at Pete’s Field at the cabin.  He was an avid Minnesota sports fan, Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves and Wild and playing fantasy sports.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard “Hap” and Mary Johnson and John and Veronica Obeidzinski.

Kyle will be sadly missed by his parents, Bob and Barb of Culver; brother, Chris (Michelle) Clark of Saginaw; sisters, Jennifer Rossing of Cloquet and Jessica (Patrick) Palmi of Duluth; nieces and nephews, Reid (RyAnna) and Matthew (Natalee) Clark, Derek and Dominique Rossing and Kourtney and Kayden Palmi; great nephew, Maverick Rossing; great niece, Raya Clark; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank St. Luke’s 6 West ICU nurses, doctors and staff and Life Source for their loving care and their compassion.  In keeping with Kyle’s loving, unselfish and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so others may live it.
