Obituary of James "Jim" Harold Tario

James “Jim” Harold Tario, 70, of Cloquet passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 peacefully in his sleep at home. Jim was born on July 10, 1952 in Cloquet to Harold and Marie Tario.  Jim lived in Cloquet and Scanlon all his life and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1970.  He attended Lake Superior College. Jim served in the U.S. Navy.

Jim worked at Super Valu as the produce manager from 1977 to 1991 and then at Potlatch from 1991 to 2002 as a laborer.

He was a member of the Navy VFW, The Moose and The Eagles.  He was also a member of the Finlandia Beach Club.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling and golf and was a certified scuba diver.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Patricia (Dave) Schroeder and Ann Tario.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy; son, Cameron (Kristen); daughter, Jaclyn (Jason) Barney; sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Johnson and Judy (Harvey) Korby; brother, Jack (Sheila) Tario; three grandsons, Kolby (Alexandria) Barney, Luke Barney, and Alexander Tario; granddaughter, Aja Tario; and nieces, nephews and friends.
