Obituary of Senja Hildegard Hilton

Senja Hildegard Hilton, 95, of Brookston passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in her home.  She was born on August 25, 1927 in Cloquet to Selium and Helmi Granholm.  She grew up in Cloquet and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School.  On November 16, 1946, Senja married Carl Wilfred Hilton in Cloquet.

Senja retired from Diamond Brands, in Cloquet, after 40 years of service. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; grandson, Donny; granddaughter, Lorretta; daughters-in-law, Denise Hilton, Linda Hilton and Barbara Henderson; and three brothers.

Senja is survived by her children, Dwayne (Cindy), Wilfred (Gloria), Darlene (Wally) Steinback, Steve (Barbara) and Kevan (Mary); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.  Senja was an outstanding mother and will be deeply missed by her family.

Visitation: Saturday, January 7, 2023 from Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service in Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14^th Street in Cloquet.  A luncheon will follow in the fireside room of the funeral home.  Burial will be in the spring, in Pine River Cemetery in Cloquet, on May 21, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.  To sign the guest book and leave an online tribute, see www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com
