Mark Erickson

Obituary of Mark Maynard Erickson

Mark Maynard Erickson, age 61, of Proctor, died unexpectedly, at home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was born in Cloquet on October 30, 1961, to Clarence and Smila Erickson.

Mark was a 1980 graduate of AlBrook High School. He met the love of his life, Lisa Parmeter on a blind date. They married in August of 1982, and had 3 sons. Mark worked at the Northeast Regional Correction Center (NERCC) as head of the maintenance department for the past 15 years.

Mark loved hunting, fishing, camping, and being at the hunting shack with his dad and boys. His greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Erickson in 2019; and his brother Mike Erickson in 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Erickson; sons, Nathan (Heather) Erickson and their children Eliana and August; Corey Erickson; Matthew (Kim) Erickson and their children Owen, Easton, Chase, and Hadley (Owen’s sister); mother, Smila Erickson; sister, Becky (Jay) Tremblay; sister-in-law, Debbie Erickson; foster brother, Vernon (Jennifer) Erickson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark had a great sense of humor and always had a smile. We are sure he is smiling down on us all.
