Obituary of Donald Lowell Rosemore
Donald Lowell Rosemore, 65, of Floodwood went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in Fridley, MN. Donald was born on May 22, 1958, in Sandstone, to Gene and Dorothy Rosemore. The family moved to Floodwood when Donald was a child and he graduated from Floodwood High School.
Donald continued his education by attending Jackson Vocational Technical College Electrical Lineman Program. He worked for Carlton Co. Coop Power Assoc. (Lake Country Power) from 1977 though 2013 when he retired as Line Foreman.
Donald met the love of his life Rhaelyn Ring and they married on July 31, 1976. Together they raised two wonderful children.
He loved the outdoors, and took every opportunity to go lake fishing, ocean fishing and ice fishing, as well as hunting for deer, elk, moose, pheasant, duck, goose and turkey. Every one of his hunting dogs held a special place in his heart. Donald spent his retirement traveling to see his children and grandchildren. They were the joy of his life. He spent a few winters in Costa Rica and Panama. He loved his family and extended family, in-laws and cousins and spent time with all of them as often as he could. He loved cooking, grilling and feeding people.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Rhaelyn; son, Benjamin Rosemore (Callie Johnson) of Chugiak, AK; daughter, Lindsey Rosemore of Honolulu, HI; grandchildren, Chloe Rosemore, Christopher Rosemore, and Aiden Rosemore; father; Gene Rosemore; sister, Michelle (Ron) Myrvold; brothers; Jeffrey (Nancy) Rosemore, Randy (Vicky) Rosemore, and Steven (Nora) Rosemore; 2 special grand-dogs: Buddy and Jasper; and many loved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 24, 2023 at Hope Lutheran Church, 401 MN-73, Floodwood, MN. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service. A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
