Obituary of Stan McKibbon

Stanley Walter McKibbon “Stan” passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Stan was born in Cloquet, MN on July, 27, 1951 to Walter and Margaret McKibbon. He graduated from Carlton High School in 1969. He served 4 years in the Navy, and married Sharon Blyth in 1972 in CA.

Stan was a gentle, easy-going man who had the love of fixing things and putzing around with just about anything.  His creative mind and need to figure out how things worked made him a great person to bounce ideas off of. He also had the gift of gab! As his wife, Sharon would say " I can’t take you anywhere without you knowing someone”. He would talk to just about anyone and the conversations were easy and welcoming with little judgment. Dad, you will be missed.

Stan worked various jobs, including Constable in Columbus, ND, Diamond Brand, Superwood, and Altec.  He was a member of the Vets in Carlton and the American Legion.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon McKibbon; son, Bruce McKibbon; parents, Walter and Margaret McKibbon; grandson, Lucas Inman; brothers, Allen and Richard McKibbon.

Stan is survived by daughters, Melanie (Kevin), and Kimberly; sister, Elaine (Jim); grandchildren, Krysena, Kieran, Kianna, and Abigale; and several great-grandchildren.
