Obituary of Judith Johnson Koski

Judith Johnson Koski, 72 of Cloquet died Monday, January 12, 2004 in her home. She was born September 15, 1931 in Sandstone to Herbert and Esther (Morse) Johnson. Judy graduated from Sandstone High School in 1949. On April 15, 1950, she married Orville W. Koski in Sandstone and together they raised five children. She worked as a Teachers Aide in the Science Department at the Cloquet Middle School from 1968 until 1975. Judy was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was active in the church circles, the Alter Guild and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was also a volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Orville on April 9, 1993; a sister, Lillian Owen; brother, Harland Johnson; and granddaughter, Tara Lee Eastman. She is survived by her children, Dianne (Tom) Goldsbury of Dr. Inlet, FL, Debra (Rick) Eastman of Orange Park, FL, Scott (Amy) Koski and Gregory (Melanie) Koski both of Cloquet; and Lisa Johnson of Cloquet; sisters, Kathleen (Wallace) Rypkema of Richfield, Frances Petersen of Genoa City, Wisc., JoAnne Hansen of Minneapolis; 15 grandchildren Jamie (Melissa) Pastika, Shawn (Ann) Pastika, Carissa amd Benjamin Goldsbury, Tonia (Lenny) Hoffman, Kara (James) Libero, Joshua, Angel , Katie, and Dakota Koski, Amber, Alyssa, Ashley, and Jordan Johnson and Alexa Lee; 5 great grandchildren, Bradley, Rebecca, Nicholas and Emma Pastika and Gianni Libero. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16, 2004 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home.
