Obituary of Linda Claire Miller

On July 13th, 2004, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Linda Claire Miller went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her family. Linda was born to awrence "Buster" and Ada (Byers) Mills in Grand Rapids, MN on June 26, 1943. After WWII her family moved to Kalispell, Montana where she loved riding her horse "Topsy", her 10th year birthday present, until the death of her parents in Oct. 958. She returned to Grand Rapids to live with her father's brother; Wayne and Ethel Mills. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1961. She Attended both Montana State University and UM of Duluth where she received a BA in Education. Linda was united in marriage to John Warren Miller on March 26, 1965. For a number of years, she was the administrator of Lakeview Christian Academy and most recently was the administrator's assistant for "Rood Awakening Ministries" Her hobbies included her beloved children and grandchildren, games of all sorts- especially online Bridge, and shopping for "bargains" "Linda's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family. She lived her life with integrity and inspired countless lives through her lifelong ministry." Linda is survived by her husband John, four children, Steven (Sandra) Miller of Portland, OR; Christine (Einar) Vaage of Stillwater, MN; Paul (Debra) Miller of Stillwater, MN; Jana (Christopher) McDonald of Duluth; grandchildren, Benjamin, Annelise, Erik, and Anders Vaage, Levi, Evan, Connor, and Bethany Miller, Michael, Gabriel, Hannah, and Jeremiah McDonald; sister, Adrienne (Frank) Nickel of Redmond OR; brothers, Don (Lendella) Mills and Dan Mills both of Portland, OR; mother-in-law, Gladys Miller of Duluth. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004 and from 10 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Saturday , July 17, 2004 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth. A time of fellowship and lunch will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
