Obituary of Katherine Ann Dalton

Katherine Ann (Schultz) Dalton, 88 of Cloquet died Sunday, October 7, 2001 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born November 22, 1912 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Albert and Emma (Lucy) Schultz. She came to Saginaw in 1929 and graduated from Proctor High School in 1931. On February 12, 1934, Katherine married Albert Dalton in Duluth. She was a volunteer with CHUM working in their tele-care program. Katherine was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert on December 6, 1980; an infant son in 1941 and her daughter, Joan Brigan on April 4, 2000. Katherine is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Vern) Heikes of Hermantown; a son, James (Kay) Dalton of Barnum; her son-in-law, John Brigan Sr. of Saginaw; a sister, Alice Kurtovich of Duluth; grandchildren Verna (Scott) Anderson of Duluth, Alan (Dawna) Heikes and Chris (Nancy Anderson) Heikes both of Esko, John Brigan of Wrenshall, Tim (Bonnie) Brigan and Bill Brigan both of Saginaw, Rhonda (Mike) Clark of Carlton, Angela (Stan) Sayler of Hermantown, Jay Dalton of Barnum, Brenda (Cory) Smith of Phoenix; great grandchildren, Matthew, Curtis and Erik Anderson, Roger and Brittany Brigan, Alexandra, Ashley, Autumn, Alyssa and Andrea Clark, Kayla, Tyler, Jesse and Travis Sayler, Tayler and Kiersten Smith and her special niece, Ethel Gaus of Cloquet. Visitation was from Noon until the 1:00 PM service Thursday, Ocotber 11, 2001 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th St. in Cloquet. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. In lieu of flowers, memorials were preferred. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet.
