Obituary of Lila H. Matteson

Lila Helena Matteson, 76 of Cloquet went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 25, 2001 in the Cloquet Community Memorial Nursing Home. She was born May 29, 1925 in Kettle River to Matt and Josephine (Eliason) Seppanen. She married Robert Matteson on May 10, 1947 in Cloquet. Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Robert on April 25, 2000; four sisters, two brothers, a niece and a nephew. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jo Gilbertson of Duluth, Judy (John) Keinanen of Cloquet and Jane Matteson of Minneapolis; one son, James Matteson of Cloquet; grandchildren, Chris Gilbertson of Duluth, Maria (Daniel) Higgins of Tracy's Landing, Maryland, Mandy (David) Tschida of St. Paul and Daniel Keinanen of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; great grandchildren, Devon Gilbertson, Sam and Onalee Higgins; several nieces and nephews. Service were held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2001 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet.
