Obituary of Floyd C. Fulton

Floyd C. "Buck" Fulton, Jr., 65, of Cloquet, died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth. He was born July 23, 1936 in Cloquet, the son of Floyd and Gladys (Welton) Fulton, Sr. He graduated from Cloquet High School in 1954. Buck married Marcia Day Liimatainen in 1958. He worked at the Wrenshall Refinery during the summer of 1954 and was employed by Wood Conversion from 1954 - 1966. He then worked for Potlatch Corporation from 1966 - 1967. In 1967, he joined the Cloquet Police Department and served as a police officer, until retiring as a Corporal in 1994. He was a charter member of the Cloquet Hunting Lodge in Brookston; a member of the Cloquet Eagles Aerie 1163; Local Teamsters #346; and a life member of the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association. Buck enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, riding his ATV and camping, but most importantly, he deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Buck will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Marcia; his son, Kevon (Monika) Fulton of Saginaw; four daughters, Kathy (Kent) Roberson of Lewiston, ID, Sue Diver (Todd Koski) and Lisa Fulton, both of Cloquet and Sandy (Paul) Smith of Hibbing; 11 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters and his best buddy, Elmer Kummala. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 12th and Doddridge, Cloquet. Fellowship and lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall. Inurnment will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
