Obituary of Patricia Rae Holbein

Patricia Rae Holbein. Born November 4, 1936 in International Falls. She died peacefully October 27, 2002 at Golden Crest Nursing Home in Hibbing, MN. She worked as a cook most of her life. Throughout the years, she worked at the Gopher Lounge and the Tappa Keg in Duluth. She loved hunting and fishing, watching hockey, football and baseball, shooting pool, playing cribbage and listening to music. She most enjoyed the times she spent at the family cabin in Canada fishing and baking. She loved family gatherings, taking pictures and really adored her grandchildren. Everyone knew her as being a wonderful cook and very giving person. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Kim Anderson (Ken Wickstrom, Jr.) in Cloquet, MN, and Wendy (Donnie) Shabiash in Cromwell, MN; sons, Jeff (Penny) Johnson in Cloquet, Eric (Paula) Johnson in Duluth and Tom (Tammy) Frank in Ridgefield, WA; grandchildren, Andy (Cindy) Anderson in Virginia, MN, Aaron Anderson in Mpls, MN, Krystle and Brent Mootz in Cromwell, MN, Zachary and Spencer Johnson in Cloquet and Hanna Johnson in Duluth, MN; sister, Kathy (Chuck) Reid in International Falls, MN; brothers, Larry (Nancy) Rognerud, Jim (Gail) Rognerud, Paul (Cindy) Rognerud and Mark Rognerud, all of International Falls. Ralph (Sandie) Rognerud of Castle Rock, CO. Mike (June) Rognerud of Washougal, WA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Alex and Marion Rognerud (parents); sisters, Darlene and Norma; niece, LeeAnn and granddaughter, Sarah Lee. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet with Rev. Randy Schultz officiating.
