Obituary of Inga L. Juntunen

Inga L. Juntunen, 74, Esko died Friday, August 16, 2002 in Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital. She was born February 7, 1928 in Carlton to Haakon and Lillian (Halverson) Andreasen and had lived in the Carlton and Esko areas all her life. After her graduation from the Carlton High School, she graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1949. She married Howard Juntunen on August 12, 1950 in Esko. Inga was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Friendship Bible Study, Esko Senior Aerobics and the monthly nurses group. She had been a nurse for over 45 years, retiring from Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital. Inga was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1999, one sister, Carol Oling and a son in law, Scot Smith. She is survived by one son, Dean Howard (Dierre Puumala) of Grand Lake, CO; three daughters, Kathy (Russ) Dojan of Embarrass, Lisa Ellefson of Boise, ID and Diana Smith of Esko; one brother, Haakon (Carol) Andreasen of DeKalb, IL; one sister, Anna (Jack) Hall of Surprise, AZ; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 20, 2002 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Carlton. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet, MN.
