Obituary of Robert William Frank

Robert William Frank, Sr., 74 of Cloquet died Sunday, November 10, 2002 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born May 10, 1928 in Stony Brook Township to Charles and Myrtle (Berglund) Frank. He attended School #56 and the Brookston School. Bob worked on the boats on Lake Superior from 1946 until 1950. He was an Army veteran serving in France during the Korean Conflict. Bob married Maralyn Reponen on September 5, 1953 in Cloquet. He worked at the Cloquet Post Office until his retirement in 1988. Bob was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, gardening, and the sauna. Bob was preceded in death by his half sister, Marie Sayer; brothers, Charles, Paul, and John Frank. He is survived by his wife, Maralyn; daughter, Paula Ceryes of Lake Mills, Wisc.; sons, Larry (Rosa Maria) of Rocklin, Calif., Billy of Rawlins, Wyom., Bob Jr. and Charles (Ronay) both of Cloquet; sisters, Mary Ellen (Bill) LaBuda of Cloquet, Ida Evelyn Peterson of Duluth; his mother-in-law, Vi Reponen of Carlton; 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 step grandsons, 1 step granddaughter,and 1 step great grandson. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 15, 2002 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Military Honors were accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Burial was in Perch Lake Cemetery, Perch Lake Township. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
