Obituary of Norman Sverre Loveid

Norman Sverre Loveid, longtime resident of Cromwell, Minnesota passed quietly at his home in Duluth on March 3, 2004. He spent much of his last year with special friends at Keystone Bluffs. Norman was born in Middle River, MN on November 21, l917. A WWII Army Veteran, Norman returned from the Pacific, a self-proclaimed bachelor until he met the love of his life, Helen Robinson. Norman is remembered as a teacher, Principal and Superintendent of Schools in Cromwell, and especially as a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Norman is survived by daughters Susan Nash (Richard) of Wausau, Anita Chichester (Dan) of Chicago, grandchildren, Jonathan and Jennifer Nash of Wausau, Rebecca and Amanda Farmer of Duluth, and sister Ruth Haugen of Shelley, MN. Wife, Helen,infant daughter, Janet and sons Douglas and Richard preceded him in death. Always looking for the positive, Norm maintained, "life is good." A lifelong learner, he loved to dance, read and watch CNN! Thanks to his special care givers who made his days more comfortable over these past months. His loving spirit will be with us always. Visitation will be held at Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN on Sunday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. with memorial service following at 2:00. Join us for refreshments in the Fireside Room.
