Obituary of Betty Cochran

Betty Cochran, 77, formerly of Cromwell, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. Betty was a resident of Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton. She was born September 3,1925 in St. Cloud, the daughter of John and Mary (Dilley) Snyder. She was a 1941 graduate of the New London, MN High School and attended the U of M for a year. Betty owned several restaurants in Minneapolis and had also cooked at Dee's Café in Cromwell. She was a member of the Methodist Church, YOT Club, Moose Club in Cloquet, served as President for the Ladies DFL and served on the Board of Directors of the Cromwell Coop Store for 10 years. Betty enjoyed playing cards and bingo, reading and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, residing in Carlton at Inter-Faith Care Center; 2 step-daughters, 1 step-son, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. in Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton. Memorials are preferred to Inter-Faith Care Center. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
