Obituary of Harriet Marion Nelson

Harriet Marion Nelson, 79, formerly of Wrenshall, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in Walker Methodist Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born November 16, 1924 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Olaf and Lillian (Christianson) Hatleli. She married LeRoy Nolin on July 31, 1944 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1969. Harriet was a 20 year resident of Esko and following her marriage to Merlyn Nelson on May 2, 1970 she moved to Wrenshall. Merlyn preceded her in death on December 14, 1997. She was a cook at the Carlton Nursing Home from 1965 - 1973. Harriet was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Lawrence Hatleli. She is survived by her children, Mark (Bonnie) Nolin of Cloquet, Ronald (Mary) Nolin of Denver, CO, Kathi (Randy) Wolf of Wrenshall, Tina (Roger) Hedalen of Columbia Heights; a foster son, Gregory (Judy) Wickstrom of Sandstone; four step-children, Merlyn (Peggy) Nelson of Wrenshall, Myrna (Keith) Johnson of Appleton, WI, Connie (Dwain) Wilson of Sturgeon Lake and Arlene (Bruce) Lindeman of Paynesville, MN and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial service was held on Monday, December 8, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
