Obituary of Eva Mae Bockovich

Eva Mae Bockovich, 72 of Finland, Minnesota died Friday, May 30, 2003 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born January 20, 1930 in Cook to Bert and Nellie (Fine) Flack. She graduated from Cook High School in 1947. On December 20, 1947, Eva married Halbert Bockovich in Grand Marais. She spent most of her married life in Finland where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Finland. She was also a member of the Lake Superior Concertina Band in Duluth. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Halbert on November 13, 2000; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by eight children; Daniel (Jannine) of Silver Bay, Wanda (Roger) Abramowski of Brookston, Alva Hakala of Farmington, Elaine (Michael) Rosebery of Pitman, New Jersey, Mary (Wayne) Nunley of San Angelo, Texas, John (Sandra) of Hovland, Bert (Bryann) of Grand Marais and Andrew (Betty) of Superior; sisters, Martha Edblom of Cook, Eunice Hodges of Porum, Oklahoma and Penny Gilliland of Cook; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2003 in Zion Lutheran Church in Finland. Burial took place in Maple Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
