Obituary of Vivian T. Moran

Vivian T. Moran, 82, Cloquet, died Monday, June 9, 2003 in Cloquet Community Memorial Nursing Home. She was born February 7, 1921 in Cloquet, the daughter of Otto and Anna (Seppanen) Granvick. Vivian was a 1939 graduate of Cloquet High School. She married George Moran on January 5, 1952 in Cloquet. Vivian was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of the We Care Sewers of the church. She bowled with the Cloquet Women's Bowling League until she was in her 70's. Vivian enjoyed camping, was an excellent seamstress and a very good cook, but some of her most precious moments were when she was being a grandma. She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Helen Stenroos, Viola Johnson and Ethel Kane. Vivian is survived by her husband of 51 years, George, of Cloquet; two sons, Kevin of Minneapolis and Paul (Janet) of Finland, MN; her daughter, Pamela (Alvin) Luoma of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Luoma of Duluth and Angela Luoma of Tempe, AZ; a step-grandchild, Shon Luoma of Detroit; two sisters, Vilma Siltanen of Cloquet and Irene Ross of Carlton; a brother, Reino Granvick of Esko; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 12, 2003 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown.
