Obituary of Frank Edward Kojo

Frank Edward Kojo "Mr. Ed", of Floodwood, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Monday, June 16, 2003 in the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston, Wisc. He was born March 17, 1928 in Floodwood, to Henry & Lempi (Hietanen) Kojo. Mr. Ed worked at Uniroyal in Stoughton, Wisc. and retired from Northern Casting in Hibbing. Mr. Ed was preceded in death by his three brothers Waino, Eino, & John. He is survived by his four sons, Ernie (Bonnie) of Willard, Wisc., David (Jeanne) of Lyndon Station, Wisc., Mike (Ronda) and Tim (Glenda) both of Stoughton, Wisc.; nine grandchildren, Robbie, Joshua, Dina, Sarah, Katie, Paul, Ben, Adam, and Matt; three great grandchildren, Andrea, Sam , & Kaiden; one brother, Matt (Bev) of Middleton, Wisc., and two sisters, Lillian Polo of Wright and Anna Sandstrom of Floodwood; Sisters-in-law, Joan Kojo of Stoughton, and Lois Kojo of Floodwood; his former wife, Mary Jeanne (Sundeen) Kojo of Cloquet; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special Thank You to the St. Louis County Hospice of Minnesota, Juneau County Hospice of Wisconsin, Lois Kojo & Sharon Sandstrom-Heggedahl for all the help they gave us during Mr. Ed's (Dad's) battle with cancer. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 20, 2003 in Hope Lutheran Church in Floodwood. Burial was in Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Floodwood. Pallbearers were Ernie Kojo, David Kojo, Mike Kojo, Tim Kojo, Joshua Kojo, and Robbie Kojo, Honorary Pallbearers were Paul Kojo, Ben Kojo, Adam Kojo, and Matt Kojo. Services entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
