Obituary of William James Pasko

William James Pasko, 71 of Cloquet died Sunday, June 1, 2003 while staying with his son in Campbell, Minn. He was born March 25, 1932 in Cloquet to Martin and Regina (Novacinski) Paske. Bill worked for Northern Pacific Railroad for nine years before moving to Perham, Minn. where he owned and operated the Elm Haven Resort. He also worked for Sicgo Sunflower Inc. in Breckenridge for 20 years retiring in 1994 at which time he returned to Cloquet. Bill was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Carlton VFW and he enjoyed woodworking. Bill was preceded in death by a son, William Jr. in 1962; grandchild, Jamie Pasko; step-son, Mike Gaslin and step-grandson, Todd Sjoquist. He is survived by two sons, John (Karen) Pasko of London Mills, Illinois and Arthur (Tara) Pasko of Campbell, Minnesota; and their mother, Anita Fountain of Cloquet; adopted daughter, Michelle (Mark) Haas of Sierra Vista, Arizona; brother, Robert (MaryAnn) Pasko of Torrence, California; sister, Beatrice Helin of Sturgeon Lake; grandchildren, Danielle, Andrew and Kaitlyn Pasko of London Mills, Illinois; step children, Manya (Ron) Teorey of Columbia Heights and Marty (Carolyn) Gaslin of Ellsworth, Wisconsin; and his special friend and brother-in-law, Elmer Kummala of Cloquet; and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service was held on Monday, June 9, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Inurnment was in New Calvary Cemetery. Military Honors were accorded by the Carlton VFW.
