Obituary of Edith Victoria Danielson

Edith Victoria Danielson, age 90, of Duluth, formerly of Cloquet, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2003. She was born February 28, 1913 in Windemere Township to Jordan and Helga (Swanson) Nelson. She graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1931. She then attended State Teacher's College in Superior, graduating in 1932. Edith moved to Cloquet, where she met and later married Aubrey Danielson on June 3, 1939. In 1950, after the death of her sister in law, Bernice Nelson, Edith and Aubrey took in their niece, Linda and raised her as their own daughter. Edith worked at Diamond Match and also Northern Printery for many years. She retired in 1972. Edith enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Sand Lake near Moose Lake and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Cloquet Presbyterian Church. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey in 1992; brothers, Richard Nelson, Lawrence Nelson, Harold Nelson and Victor Nelson; sisters, Mable Anderson, Myrtle Mittlestadt, Alice Freeman, Ruby Erickson and Marcella Mossberg. She will be lovingly remembered by Linda (Tony) Wisocki of Duluth; sisters, Selma Overland of Moose Lake, Gladys Overland of Sturgeon Lake and Evelyn Scheibe of Fort Myers, Florida; two grandchildren, Todd (Bobbi Jo) Wisocki of Fort Myers and Eric (Kara) Wisocki of Duluth; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Hunter Wisocki of Duluth and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 23, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Burial was in Blomskog Cemetery in Windemere Township.
