Obituary of Richard Clarence Wilkinson

Richard "Wilk" Clarence Wilkinson, 76 of Cloquet and Sarasota, Florida went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born April 15, 1926 in Cloquet to Clarence and Eunice (Doddridge) Wilkinson. Richard married Betty Carol Goldfine on December 2, 1949 in Superior. He was employed at Conoco Oil Refinery for 32 years but his true passion was carpentry. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dale. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty; three children, Richard (Lori) Wilkinson, Robin Wilkinson and Kelly (Daniel) Lundquist all of Cloquet; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Lara), Isaiah, Uriah (Amy), Stephanie Wilkinson, Elonda (Allan) Baltes, Aaron Bogucki, Daniel, Anna, Sever, Sadie, and Rosalie Lundquist; 4 great grandchildren and one due in March; sister, Diane (Roland) Mundell; uncle, Ronald Wilkinson. He is remembered by his loving mother-in-law, Beatrice Goldfine; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Roman) Byrka and Nancy (Thomas) Martinson; brother-in-law, Harry (Peggy) Goldfine. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 1, 2003 in the Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle Church. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Military Honors were accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
