Obituary of Kevin Lane Godbout

Kevin Lane Godbout, 41 of Barnum, died Thursday, August 21, 2003 from injuries sustained in a tractor accident. He was born April 1, 1962 in Cloquet to Kenneth and Patricia (Dickhoff) Godbout. He grew up in Carlton and graduated from the Carlton High School in 1981. Kevin was the installation supervisor for Siemens Dematic out of Grand Rapids, Michigan for 13 years. In 1998 Kevin and his brother, Craig started their own business, Viking Installation. Kevin loved the outdoors, fishing and hard work. He was a gentle, unselfish and generous man. Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wilfred and Martha Godbout; his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Lydia Dickhoff; and an uncle, Martin Mainella. Kevin was loved and will be sadly missed by his mother, Patricia (Bruce) Lahti of Cloquet; his father, Kenneth (Mary) Godbout of Barnum; brother, Craig (Carrie) Godbout of Cloquet; sisters, Shelly (John) Donicht of Carlton, Sheila (James) Gray of Delta, Ohio, Theresa (Richard) Vydrzal of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; step-brothers, Rick Angell and Gordon Angell III, both of Barnum; step-sisters, Kelley Howard of Rush City, Mary (Bruce) Grover of Wrenshall and Alena (Doug) Stuhaug of Duluth; 23 nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Monday, August 25, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Carlton. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
