Obituary of Howard Clifford Lindquist

Howard Clifford Lindquist, 86, Cloquet, died Friday, July 11, 2003 in Cloquet Community Memorial Nursing Home. He was born July 9, 1917 in Virginia, MN to Eric and Mary Elizabeth (Josephs) Lindquist. In 1929 he moved with his family to California. He married Nancy Joyce Josephs in 1950. He was employed for many years at the Alameda Naval Air Station before moving to Cloquet in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Stoner and Hazel Daily. Howard is survived by his wife, Joyce of Cloquet; a son, Clifford Lindquist of Cloquet; a daughter, Cheryl Coate of Mesa, AZ; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Alfred (Lois) Lindquist of San Bernardino, CA; his mother-in-law, Mayme Lahti of Cloquet; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 in the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, Holmes City, MN. Interment was in the Finnish Apostolic Cemetery, Holmes City.
