Obituary of Terrence Lee Kimber

Terrence Lee Kimber, 59, of Cloquet, died Friday, March 7, 2003 in his home after a lengthy illness. He was born September 21, 1943 in Cloquet, the son of Walter and Bernice (Angell) Kimber. Terry was a 1961 graduate of Cloquet High School. He married Deanna Smith on September 22, 1983 in Carlton. Terry was the Vice President of Lending at Members Cooperative Credit Union in Cloquet, having been employed at the credit union since June 1, 1974. He coached youth hockey for 9 ½ years; served two terms as president of the Hockey Association; was a retired Board of Director of the Minnesota Amateur Hockey Association and was on the Board of Directors of the US Hockey Association. He also enjoyed hunting and working around the house. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Kimber. Terry is survived by his wife, Deanna; his mother, Bernice Kimber of Cloquet; his daughter, LeeAnn C. Kimber of Orlando, FL; his son, Robert W. (Kimberly) Kimber of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Zack, Mackenzie and Jordon; two step-sons, Russ (Susan) Smith and Doug Smith, both of Duluth; a brother, David M. Kimber of Cloquet; a sister, Brenda (John) Fryc of Cloquet; and five nephews, Scott, Patrick, Joshua, and Tyler Kimber and Eric Fryc. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 12th and Doddridge, Cloquet. Memorials are preferred to the Cloquet Hockey Association.
