Obituary of Chester Harry Wiles

Chester "Chet" Harry Wiles, 56 of Cloquet, died Sunday, July 14, 2002 in his home. He was born September 12, 1945 in Cloquet to Roy and Viola (Grund) Wiles. Chet was a 1963 graduate of the Cloquet High School. He worked at Northwest Paper before joining the Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, he returned to work at Northwest Paper for a short time. He then worked at Ron's Auto Body until 1978 and later worked in lawn service for a few years. He was a member of the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979. Chet enjoyed hunting and playing cards. He loved his cat Mitzy. Chet was a very kind hearted person and a devoted son. He is survived by his brother, Raymond (Judy) Wiles of Cloquet; his half brother, Dewey (Bessie) Wiles of Midway City, California; and a niece, Stacey Wiles of Cloquet. A memorial service was held Sunday, July 21, 2002 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A time of fellowship followed in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Inurnment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet. Military Honors were accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard.
