Obituary of Vivian Jane Randa

Vivian Jane Randa, 79 of Cromwell died Friday, August 1, 2003 in Villa Vista Nursing Home. She was born June 29,1924 in Floodwood to Sam and Tyna Kivisto. She married Walter Randa in 1940 in Floodwood. Vivian farmed with her husband in Gowan and in 1949 they moved to Cromwell where they continued to farm. In 1976 they retired and moved to Cloquet. Vivian has lived at Villa Vista since 1998. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing bingo. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her grandchildren and family. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; daughter, Judy Hakamaki, infant son, James Randa; grandson, Todd Randa; great grandson, Justine Kline; 1 brother and 3 sisters. She is survived by five sons, Dennis (Carol) of Duluth, Walter Jr. (Dardanell) of Wright, Richard (Susan), Daniel (Kay) and Jack all of Cloquet; three daughters, Shirley "Dolly" (Roger) Lund of Cromwell, Nancy (Ronald) Rosbacka of Wright and Susan "Cooky" (Roger) Nyberg of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; son-in-law, Clinton Hakamaki of Stacy, Minnesota; sisters, Alma Watts of Portland, Oregon and Sylvia VanDenberg of Duluth; 26 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Monday, August 4, 2003 in Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery.
