Obituary of Evelyn Katherine Edwards

Evelyn Katherine Edwards, 79 of Scanlon died Friday, January 31, 2003 in Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born September 30, 1923 in Nemadji, Minn. to John and Ida (Snetting) Carlson. Evelyn graduated from Barnum High School in 1942. She worked at Diamond Match until she married Ralph Edwards on November 30, 1945. Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Carlson; grandson, Dale Isaacson and a son and daughter at birth. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ralph; a son, John (Janice) Edwards of Cloquet; daughters, Joann Johnson of Thomson and Judy (Jeffrey) Young of Moose Lake; a sister, Ina Grzywinski of Cloquet; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Inurnment was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
