Obituary of Darrell Wayne Barney

Darrell Wayne Barney, 57 of Duluth died Saturday, March 9, 2002 in the Sunrise Nursing Home in Two Harbors. Darrell was born December 28, 1944 in Cloquet to George and Hennie (Stenroos) Barney. He was raised in Esko and graduated from the Esko High School in 1962 and also attended the Duluth Technical School. He worked in auto parts sales most of his life. He was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Duluth and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Darrell is survived by six brothers, Raymond (Phyllis) of Proctor, Robert (Ramona) of Minneapolis, Millard (Kathleen) of Esko, Rev. Richard (Betty) of Taylors, S.C., Norman (Joyce) of Florida, Curtis (Sally) of Queen Creek, Ariz.; three sisters, Marian (Howard) Sunnarborg of Mesa, Ariz., Nancy (James) Sunnarborg of Esko and Viola (Rev. Rodney) Johnson of Lake Linden, Mich. A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 14, 2002 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Inurnment will be in Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Esko. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
