Obituary of Levi Tuddy Angell

Lance Corporal Levi Tuddy Angell, 20, Cloquet died in combat in Iraq on Thursday, April 8, 2004. He was born October 8, 1983 in Cloquet the son of Gordon and Loretta (Heinen) Angell, Jr. Levi was a 2002 graduate of Cloquet High School where he was an avid chess player, loved playing basketball and enjoyed track and football. He enjoyed deer hunting and karate and had been employed by Angell House Moving where he helped his uncle John move houses. Levi was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Levi joined the Marines in 2002 and was sent to Camp Pendleton in September 2002, graduating from Camp Pendleton on December 13, 2002. He was deployed to Kuwait from June 13, 2003 until November 2003. After spend the holidays with his family, he returned to Camp Pendleton and was deployed in February 2004 first to Kuwait and then to Iraq. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Heinen; his paternal grandfather, Gordon Angell, Sr. and his hunting partner and uncle, Donny Angell. Levi is survived by his parents, Gordon and Loretta Angell, Jr. of Cloquet; his brothers and sisters, Adam, Gloria and Amanda, all of the home, Angel Angell (Aaron Schultz) of Cleveland, OH, Jason Britton of St. Joseph, MN, Ricky (Tammy) Angell and Gordy Angell, III, both of Barnum and Alina (Doug) Stuhaug of Duluth; grandmothers, Mildred Heinen of St. Cloud and Lila Angell of Cloquet, God parents, Chuck and Gloria Pfisthner of Cloquet, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Interment was held on Wednesday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. In leiu of flowers memorials re preferred. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
