Obituary of Jean Louise Caza

Jean Louise Caza, 76 of Cloquet died Saturday, January 4, 2003 of complications due to Parkinson's disease in the Cloquet Community Convalescent Care Center. She was born May 29, 1926 in Carlton to J. Oscar and Ruth W. Finberg. Jean grew up in Carlton and graduated from Carlton High School in 1944. She met Gordy Caza and they were united in marriage on September 14, 1946 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cloquet. Jean worked for the Carlton school system until 1951. She spent the remainder of her years devoted to her family. Jean was an avid outdoors woman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was also an accomplished seamstress and had numerous hobbies and interests. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary and TOPS. Most of all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jean was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Gordon; daughter, Linda (Cliff) Jezierski of Staples; sons, Tim (Nancy) of Spring Lake Park, Dwight (Sheila) of Wright, Jack (Jae) of Ferndale, California; twin brother, Jack (Donna) Finberg of Deltona, Florida; sisters, Betty (Harley) Smith, Marie Finberg and Nancy Finberg all of Carlton, Charleen (Don) Franzen of Cloquet; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; special friends, Mark and Mae Roses of Duluth and Lucille Lehto of Mission, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Burial was in Old Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Parkinson's Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
