Obituary of Enard Alexander Paulson

Enard Alexander Paulson, 94, Barnum, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 in Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. He was born September 14, 1907 in Duluth, the son of Swan and Johanna (Borg) Paulson. Enard was raised on the family farm in Moose Lake and attended Mud Creek School. He married Marjorie Thieling on September 23, 1944 in Barnum. Enard farmed until 1947 and worked at the Potlatch papermill from 1950 until his retirement in 1972. Enard enjoyed playing the violin, listening to Swedish and country music, feeding the birds, and was always working on a project around the house or in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie of Barnum; a son, Marvin (Vicky) Paulson of Barnum; two daughters, Ramona (George) Hagen of Barnum and Renee (Jerry) Tschida of Wrenshall; 6 grandchildren, Brett (Audrey) Hagen of Rhinelander, WI, Bart (Shelley) Hagen of Colorado Springs, Nick and Heather Paulson both of Barnum; Kristie (Matt) Laveau and Aaron Tschida both of Wrenshall; 3 great grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlyn Laveau, and Lance Hagen; two sisters, Lorna (Ralph) Ohlgren and Goldie Hammitt, both of Moose Lake; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Saturday, February 9, 2002 in Northland Funeral Home, Mahtowa. Spring interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moose Lake. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home.
