Obituary of Sally Ann Newlander

Sally Ann Newlander, 56, formerly of Floodwood, died Thursday, January 17, 2002 in Nopeming Nursing Home where she had been a resident for several years. She was born November 26, 1945 in Duluth to Carl and Esther Newlander. She was a 1964 graduate of Floodwood High School and had attended the Assemblies of God Church in Floodwood. She had worked at Jeno's, RJ Reynolds and Goodwill. Sally was a member of the Nopeming Resident Council and enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Twins and the Vikings. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Sally is survived by two sisters, Ida (Charles) Bensen and Irene Martinson, both of Proctor; three brothers, Dennis Newlander of Floodwood, Harvey (Grace) Newlander of Nevis, MN and Peter (Jody) Newlander of Stanchfield, MN, many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Gerene Johnson. A Memorial service was held Monday, January 21, 2002 in Assemblies of God Church, Floodwood. Memorials are preferred. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
