Micheal was a very special uncle to me. One reason that he was so special to me is that he was my godfather. I will truly miss him, but I know he will always be there for me and I will be thinking of him. Love Brianna

My sympathy to the family of Michael. I was a caregiver to Mike some 20 years past when I worked for Quality Care. Mike was a bright young man and had lots of hidden abilites at that time in his life. He was just not in the mood for developing them. I spent many hours with him and we would talk on and on about using his mind and working harder to be more independant . It was so difficult for him to accept his situation and move on with his life. As we got more familiar with both our likes and dislikes ,we often laughed and kidded each other sometimes about just plain stupid things and anytime I could get him to smile or laugh was great and boy did Mike ever have an award winng smile. He was a great young man and I know that he will be missed. So sorry for your loss. A friend from long ago..Sandy Kulas

I felt a special bond with Mike as we shared more than the title of "first cousins." We were baptized together, confirmed together and graduated together. We did so much together as kids…. building dams at the creek, playing baseball in the field, fishing, birthdays and holidays…. We even took a road trip to California together.
I will miss your beautiful blue eyes, your "belly laughs", and the visits where the conversation flowed and we would tease each other.
Mike gave me a new appreciation of all that I take for granted. Every time I left his home, I felt a sense of awe on how he lived that way with grace. He told me that his time on earth was only a small section of life in the scheme of what is to come. I can see you now, running and hunting and fishing in heaven. I love you and look forward to seeing you again… Sue
