Obituary of Minda Natalia Tuve

Minda Natalia Tuve, 84 of Carlton, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 in Lake Haven Manor in Duluth. She was born October 20, 1916 in Blackhoof Township to Andrew and Hilda (Olsson) Wickstrom. She grew up in Blackhoof Township. During WWII, Minda worked at Diamond Tool in Duluth. She married Julian Tuve on February 12, 1948 in Elim Lutheran Church. She was a housewife and homemaker. Minda was a former member of Elim Lutheran Church, a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church where she was active in the church circles. Her husband died on October 15, 1966. Minda moved to Carlton in 1967. In addition to her husband, Minda was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Lawrence, Anna Thompson, Agnes Petersen, and Ida Patterson; and a brother, Alvin Wickstrom. She is survived by two sons, Julian "Ole" of Duluth and James (Barbara) of Cloquet; a sister, Hilma (Vernon) Miller of Barnum; grandchildren, Steve (Denise) Fisher of North Branch, Susan (Eric Engh) Fisher of Minneapolis, Chad (Lynn) Tuve, Troy Tuve and Kelly Tuve all of Duluth; Toni Tuve and Terry Tuve both of Cloquet; great grandchildren, Zak, John, Josh, Phoenix, Kanen, Erica and Rachael; and numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. Visitation was from 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 19, 2001 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet and continued from 9 until the 10 AM service Saturday, October 20, 2001 in Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 5th St.in Carlton. Pastor Michael Fossen officiated. Burial was in Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Blackhoof Township. A luncheon followed in Elim Lutheran Church. Serving as pallbearers were Minda's grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
