Obituary of Liv E. Olson

Liv E. Olson, 81 of Cloquet died Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake. She was born July 2, 1922 in Duluth to Hans and Anna (Jacobson) Einbu. She graduated from Central High School in Duluth in 1940. Liv also graduated from Duluth Teachers College. She married Harvey Olson on March 2, 1944 in Alabama. They made their home in Cloquet where Liv worked at Conwed and Diamond Match for several years. Liv was a member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Cooties, Sons of Norway, and Sweet Adelines. Liv enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling, singing with the Sweet Adelines, and playing cards. Liv was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Olson; three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Olson of Cloquet; daughters, Gloria (Jack) Brady of West Covina, California, Marilynn (Carl) Burggraff of Duluth; sons, Sheldon (Susan Gail) of Cornelius, North Carolina and Roland Olson of Saginaw; sister, Ann Hanger of Duluth; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial Service: 2: 00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. Inurnment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
