Obituary of Wilman A. Engen

Wilman A. "Bill" Engen, 78, formerly of Cloquet, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 in Stillwater Good Samaritan Center. He was born March 1, 1926 in Everett, Washington, the son of Andrew and Alda (Shaver) Engen. Bill married Helen Jarvi on September 13, 1947 in Cloquet. Bill was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corp. He was a long-time employee of Northwest Paper/Potlatch Corporation. Bill was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Potlatch Quarter Century Club and served as a board member of the Cloquet Co-op Credit Union for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, on August 12, 1996 and a brother, Darrel Engen. Bill is survived by his four daughters, Nona Lee (Tom) Okerstrom of Stillwater, DeeAnn Engen of Meadowlands, Ruth Hayft of Brainerd and Lois Starnes of Billings, MT; a brother, LeRoy (Marlene) Engen of Cloquet; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street , Cloquet. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
