Obituary of Donna Mae Love

Donna Mae Love, 63, of Floodwood died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 in St. Mary's Medical Center in the presence of her loving family. She was born July 10, 1940 in Duluth to Bernard and Dorothy (Golen) Foster. She grew up in Duluth and was married to Willard Davis. She was a waitress at Woolworth's in Duluth. Her husband Willard died in 1970. Donna married John Love on June 24, 1972 in Floodwood. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Floodwood where Donna worked as a cook at Telly's Pizza, Bridgemans, Bud's Place and most recently at the Nutrition Center until retiring in 2000. She was a member of TOPS and KOPS. Donna was an accomplished seamstress and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. In addition to her first husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Hietala and grandson, Travis Davis. Donna will be sadly missed by her husband, John of Floodwood, children, Bill (Linda) Davis of Duluth, Ron (Brenda) Davis of Floodwood, Dennis (Valerie) Davis of Oakdale, Terry (Gina) Davis, Sherry (Troy) Love, Sandy (John) Love all of Floodwood; grandchildren, Misty, Matt, Myles, Chad, Michelle, Wendy, Candi, Jacqui, Stella, Hilary, Nick, Caine, Jaimen, Sabrina, Blake, Dylan, Jazmine, Jared, Brianna, and Hailey; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Marylou Love of Park Rapids, Jan Lowinski of Duluth; brother, Bernie Foster of Auburn, Washington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18, 2003 in the Floodwood Assemblies of God Church. Inurnment was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Van Buren Township. Services entrusted to Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
