Obituary of Sally Cheskie Fulton

Sarah "Sally" Marie Cheskie Fulton, 90 of Cloquet died Sunday, June 8, 2003 in the Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born August 25, 1912 in Cuyuna, Minnesota to Henry and Susan (Bakka) Maki. Sally grew up in Crosby and graduated from Crosby High School in 1932. She married Victor Cheskie on June 27, 1936 in Deerwood. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1972. On October 1, 1975, Sally married Glenn Fulton in Cloquet. While in Cloquet, Sally worked as a clerk at JC Penny, the Johnson Company and Crystal's Dress Shop. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. Sally enjoyed reading and playing cards. In addition to her first husband, Victor, Sally was preceded in death by her second husband Glenn Fulton in January, 1994; her sisters, Sylvia Koski, Sigrid Lampi, Martha McAllister; and her brother, Sakri Maki. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Ken) Balogh of Memphis, Tennessee and Mary (Dan) Sarkela of Superior, Wisconsin; one son, Peter (Toni) Cheskie of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 13, 2003 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
