Obituary of George Edwin Helm

George Edwin Helm, 89 of Meadowlands died Thursday, September 26, 2002 in Lakeshore Lutheran Home in Duluth. He was born April 27, 1913 in Devils Lake, ND to Peter and Gina (Sunderland) Helm. His family moved to Alborn, MN when George was a young boy. He graduated from Alborn High School. George married Vivian Wickstrom and they made their home in Meadowlands. During in 1950's, they moved to Sturgiss, MI where George worked as a laboratory technician with Abbott Lab until his retirement. In 1999 he returned to Meadowlands where he was a member of First Lutheran Church. George was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian and one sister. He is survived by his sister, Myrtle (Carl) Abrahamson of Cloquet and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 in First Lutheran Church in Meadowlands. Inurnment was in Meadowlands Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
