Obituary of Kevin Bruce Granholm

Kevin Bruce Granholm, 46, of McGregor, formerly of Cromwell, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 13, 2003 in his home. He was born November 20, 1956 in Duluth to James and Sally (Wicklund) Granholm. Kevin graduated from Cromwell High School in 1975. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He worked at Floe International in McGregor. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends. Kevin is survived by his mother, Sally (Harlan) Switzer of Cromwell, his father, James Granholm of Kettle River; two brothers, Howard (Julie) Granholm of St. Cloud and Brian "Bucky" (Pauly) Granholm of Kettle River; three sisters, Kim (Roger) Suhonen of Wright, Tracey (Brent) Goranson of Cromwell and Lynn (Chris) Odegaard of Cromwell; nieces and nephews, Brian Granholm, Jr., Tamara (Tory) Bednarek, Alissa Granholm, Misty Granholm and Chaz Granholm, Brandon (Missy Nelson) Suhonen, Nicole Suhonen, Jordan Suhonen, Justin Goranson, Gabe Goranson, Grant Odegaard and RaeAnn Odegaard; great niece, Payton Suhonen; step brothers Robert (Diane) Switzer, Keith (Patty) Switzer, Bill (Denise) Switzer, Dan (Caroline) Switzer, Mark (Ellen) Switzer,and Joe Switzer; step sister Dawn (John) Pelfrey; and his godparents, Wayne and Marge Jokinen. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, 2003 in Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell with Pastor Matt Saarem officiating. Military Honors were accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
